Read the article and discuss the privacy implications of social media and dealing with issues like the ones mentioned in the article.

The high levels of communication through social media has eliminated much privacy from users, whether they like it or not. Videos and pictures can be shared with thousands of people within a day, and continue to spread like wildfire. One of the most troubling problems with the issue of rape photos or videos being addressed, is that many of the victims are too traumatized and embarrassed to openly speak out against it. Like Kelsey, many victims keep their experience secret, and this leads to not much being done about the problem. Although nobody wants to be the girl in the video, even Kelsey acknowledged that if the video had spread further, this would have resulted in more people speaking out against it. To deal with the issue as a whole, there needs to be a widely acknowledged case that can show the incredible wrongdoings of not only the men in the video, but also the bystanders who decided not to take action.
