Net Neutrality is an idea that has great implications when applied correctly. Net Neutrality ensures that all internet traffic is treated equally, with no discrimination based on the user or the websites visited. Ideally, Net Neutrality protects equality on the internet. This means that small websites such as sound-cloud can be used just as effectively as larger sites. Net Neutrality also allows for new sites to open and be competitive, with no unfair treatment. This promotes both competition and innovation on the internet, and can be very beneficial to growth on the internet. Net Neutrality also has negatives to it, which are mainly pointed out by the cable providers. With charging bigger websites more, cable providers could create a more effective infrastructure on the internet, while improving services for the customers. Also, Network Neutrality can slow down improvements on the web by making everything have to be approved, especially with such a rapidly growing internet. On the whole, users and small websites seem to be more supportive of network neutrality, while larger businesses and cable providers would prefer not to have it.
Recently, network neutrality has been under attack, and has been receiving very little support from the government. In recent cases with Comcast, it was announced that the FCC did not have the authority to make Comcast treat all their traffic equally. Seeing as this is the main idea of net neutrality, this is a devastating hit. Many of the FCC's network neutrality rules have been getting shut down. This means that network neutrality has very low levels of support, and could very easily vanish.
Network Neutrality protects everybody on the internet by giving them equal rights. The first amendment ensures freedom of speech, religion, press, and assembly, but the protection of speech is the main purpose of network neutrality. Network neutrality ensures that not only can people say what the want on the internet, but they can be heard just the same as anybody else. This also protects users of the internet to being dominated by the word of larger companies or sites that are treated with priority. Also, network neutrality prevents there from being a priority of information. All information is treated equally, so there is no unfair promotion of certain views or ideas on the web.
I am a constant user of the internet, so the recent news about network neutrality is a little disconcerting. All sites start small, and internet giants such as Amazon should not receive special benefits. Network Neutrality keeps equality in the online marketplace, while protecting the integrity of the internet. Without network neutrality, all information on the web can be prioritized to promote certain things or evoke a certain reaction from the readers. I think that network neutrality is a key concept in the keeping the internet fair and keeping the users of the internet content.
Network Neutrality is a key concept that protects the integrity of operating online. Online shopping is the most important issue with network neutrality. Suppose you needed to go get food for your house. There's an express bus that gets you to Walmart in 3 minutes, or your can take the other bus the a private store 20 minutes away. This is essentially what network neutrality prevents on the web. Network Neutrality prevents large well-known companies from gaining an unfair advantage of being quicker and more efficient. This also protects competition, which is the driving force for success in business.

Both theses cases are taken from legitimate websites that have good reputations. They also are not very opinionated pieces, as they simply describe cases and the outcomes. They discuss two different cases that involve network neutrality. Unfortunately, they both describe cases where the FCC lost authority over web providers.
